I read it this morning and wasn't impressed. I had trouble following some of their summaries for novels I've read, so I decided not to trust them on novels I haven't. I appreciate that they tried, though. I've read more Gemmell than any other author (besting both Brust and Simon R Green by two novels).
Edit: My memory just corrected me. I've read twice as many ERB novels as Gemmell novels. In my defense, I haven't kept any of the ERB, and I haven't gotten rid of a single Gemmell novel.

I just finished Gemmell's Waylander. The plot is so good that I ignored the mountain of errors in the book. He even confused the name of one the generals; yet I've never read anything as good for years, plot wise.
Beware of words, for they holda power that can alter the fabric of our minds; intangible words that can summon the dormant predator from the dank recesses of the mind.

I just bought Waylander and its followup Hero in the Shadows and look forward to reading them. I find Gemmell's novels very enjoyable.

I prefer the two followups to Waylander, but he's one of my favorite Gemmell characters. Howard, I believe Hero in the Shadows is the third Waylander book. In the Realm of the Wolf is the second.

Thanks for pointing that out Jeff, I discovered that after I put the new books in my LibraryThing last night - now I have to go find the middle one.
