Blame David de Beer. ;)
Hi all, I'm Catherine, and I also hail from that den of iniquity and gold-smuggling - Johannesburg. As a writer I'm mostly into darkish fantasy, but as a reader, I devour all genres. Next up on my reading list is Elizabeth Bear's Hammered, Scardown, and Worldwired. (Hoorays for birthday presents).
I am truly sucktastic at doing these intro things, but here goes:
I'm an occasional belly dancer, which is more interesting than being an occasional table. I garden, birdwatch, an I'm learning to use poi, play guitar, cook, and write. Some of these come easier than others. In between all this, I try and look after two sprogs, varied pets, and a husband. As the chronically unemployable (I'm a gemini) I'm pretty glad that I get to do the stay at home thing.

Welcome to the board, and I'd say your intro is great--and not just because of the belly dancing! :)

Hi all, thanks for the warm welcome.
Cat hell is presumably a place where you're constantly putting on your shoes, only to find the cat threw up in them. A demonic groundhog day thing, I guess.
Nah, seriously, Hellisen is a good ol' Danish surname. ;)

Hi Cat, I'm sending a belated welcome. I do have a good excuse though: I've been away, and in Denmark.
