View Full Version : You writers, you

After a string of 'we love your story, but not quite enough to buy it' rejections, I have decided to place the blame firmly where it belongs. Not on the editors. Not on the market. Not even upon myself.

I blame the rest of you writers.

So, I thought I would come here and ask ... no, beg ... the rest of you to stop writing such good stories. Yes, I need you to start writing garbage, just so I can break my dry spell and get something published.

Come on? Whaddaya say?

Don't blame the rest of us... Blame Thirdy! He seems to be getting all the available spaces, whether fiction or poetry in every SF publication uner the sun.

Garbage is the only thing I ever write. That's the problem. You need to stop writing good stuff and start writing garbage ;)

I would if I could just find an editor who would print garbage. And pay a buck a word for garbage. That would be cool too.

Ya gotta dream.

It's one thing to dream, it's another one to go comatose and slip into a fantasy world.

I like the sound of that...

Just wait until the next editor gets twenty stories all from a writer named 'Thirdy.'

I see ... I see ... a waste basket in the future for those stories.
