Hello everyone,

If you have been looking for way to help the sword and sorcery cause, here's something really easy to do and something that will be very effective in bringing in new blood to our favorite genre.

Right now,the renowned author illustrator team ofJohn C. Hocking and Storn Cook are producing a fast-paced, colorful -- and sword-slinging -- comic for serial posting at the Sword and Sorcery.org/Flashing Swords E-zine webiste. Over the past few weeks, the strip has brought an incredible traffic-surge to the website.

This comic is so dynamic and so awesome that we feel everyoneneeds to know about it. The comic is free of charge and can be accessed simply by clicking to:

http://www.swordandsorcery.org/Catspaw/preface.htm

What we need you to do is very simple:

1) Copy the attached image file which is a banner ad for the Cat's Paw webcomic (or email me and ask me to send it to you)

2) Add this banner, with a link to the above url to your website, author page, blog, or email newsletters.

That's it.

If you don't want to download the banner, just add the link wherever you can.

This simple act will do wonders to promote our beloved genre, drive traffic to the Sword and Sorcery.org site, and ultimately to these boards, to SASA, and to the retail shops where LoS and Sages are stocked. This will mean more readers, which will result in more and better paying markets for your stories.

John and Storn have been enormously generous in crafting this one-of-a-kind adventure for all of us. Let's show them we can respond in kind and give their creation the kind of push it deserves.

Just a simple cut and paste. Won't cost you a penny!

We deeply appreciate your support!

I'll update my webpage sometime this week, for what it's worth.

Ah, I've had a Catspaw link up on my blog for a month now. I like the banner but I'm going to stay with the comic book cover link that I took from the Flashing Swords home page - it fits in my layout better. Thanks for the great story and artwork!

I'd rather play Hurk than go to work.
Hurk? Hurk? What's Hurk?
I don't know, but it must be better than work.

I recommend registering Catspaw with www.topwebcomics.com & www.buzzcomix.net. If you can make the top 100, you can generate quite a few hits.

Noted & done. When I get a chance, I'll fool around with adding the banner too. I'll be sure to review it on my blog. What I've seen I've liked.
