I just sold a faery tale to GUD Magazine. The title is The Tale that Launched a Thousand Ships. Mine was one of the first they bought for the first issue.

It is a good spot to be seen. The founders are a group of renegade refugees from the now defunct Canadian Zine NFG. They have some solid financial backing. They will consider any and all genres, it just has to be good and catch their fancy.

thanks! This ol' Cuss is happy about it. It's an odd thing. I've built up a back log of shorts and kept procrastinating about subbing them anywhere. I had only told a couple of people about the stack of shorts, but someone leaked it to an editor at GUD that the stack existed. He happened to enjoy my novels. So he got hold of me and applied a bit of pressure to pry one of them out of my hands. So I decided 'what the heck?' and sent him one. He bought it.
I really need to start subbing them instead of just letting them pile up.

NFG folded, eh?
I never got around to reviewing them but I read several issues. A very energetic pub!

Kaolin Fire, Sue Miller, and Mike Coombs at GUD were all involved with NFG. When the owner of NFG closed it down, they immediately started looking around to put their own zine together. It looks good and has the same submission engine that Kaolin designed for NFG, but better.

Thanks Rob.
I asked them if they would even consider a sword and sorcery story and Kaolin said 'sure, send it along.'
So, if you have something good in whatever genre, send it along to them. They really are open to anything.

Tarantino himself has been forward and unapologetic about his influences. In a 1994 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1994) interview with Empire (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Empire) magazine, he said, "I steal from every single movie ever made. If people don't like that, then tough tills, don't go and see it, all right? I steal from everything. Great artists steal, they don't do homages."

Excellent! I still remember the stories from your novel, 'In The Darkness, Hunting'. Cussedness, andyone who can be part of an anthology that wins the World Fantasy Award needs to keep submitting.
