Figured out tonight how to get readable PDFs onto my Kindle. Kindle (in my case, Kindle 2) got an update to version 2.3 that includes native support for PDF reading. However, it is a very limited feature. The PDFs come over with very small font and the font adjustment does not work (grayed out.) You can landscape the device, but that doesn't gain you much. RE: Kindle I initially thought I would not replace print books with ebooks, and for the most part, I will hold to that. But I have a current debate in my head, now. Baen has the entire set of Leiber's seven Lankhmar ebooks for $35. Considering the price of the current reprint set, this is about half price. I finally visited the Baen "Webscription" site, and while I am not signing up for the webscription, many books are available directly, and they are not found over at Amazon.com as Kindle books.
