• Arcane: Penny Dreadfuls for the 21st Century

I just found out about this new market an hour ago (or so) didn't see it on Ralan's or Duotrope and thought I'd let you'all know.

Yeah. I sent them a Gaslight Fantasy last week.
I'll let you know if it's accepted.

      Didn't get accepted.

"Thanks for submitting your story "The House of Dead Whores" to Arcane. I'm sorry, but it's not quite what we're looking for. I'd love to give a detailed critique, but I'm the one-man band on the editorial side of Arcane, so I just don't have the time for long replies to submissions.
Feel free to submit more work to use in the future.
      Thanks,

Kind of irks me the guy says he'd love to provide a detailed critique, but doesn't have the time to do so.
Why bother to mention it at all, if you can't do it?
Might make less confident writers feel there's an awful lot wrong with their story/writing.
And they won't know what it is.

I just shrug and keep writing.
It's best not to take rejection slips like the one above too seriously, especially if a number of test readers of the kind of market you're aiming at have already critiqued the story and throughly enjoyed it.

      Cheers: Jaq.
