   Meet monsters from other worlds and ordinary horrors that surpass even supernatural threats in the upcoming THE GATE OF SORROWS, by the celebrated contemporary author Miyuki Miyabe! Miyabe's eight novel, and her fifth from VIZ Media's Haikasoru literary imprint, will be available in both print & digital editions this coming summer 2016! 

In this dark fantasy sequel to THE BOOK OF HEROES, a series of murders shocks Tokyo's Shinjuku ward, but retired police detective Shigenori is instead obsessed with a gargoyle that seems to move. College freshman Kotaro launches a web-based investigation of the killer, and comes to find that answers may lie within an abandoned building in the center of Japan's busiest neighborhood and beyond the gate of sorrows!
