Bigheads

by Dave on 07-10-2010 at 04:31 PM
Like A Human Solution, this is a very early and not very good story.

I was going for a missionary meets native tribe sort of vibe, with a slight twist of course.

A Human Solution

by Dave on 07-04-2010 at 12:03 AM
I confess to a rather jaded opinion of human nature, not of the individual, but to the species as a whole. I pretty much think we’re on a path to our own decline, and expect a future where humans exist in much, much fewer numbers than we do today.

This story reflects my somewhat dim view of our nature. It’s one of my very early stories, and isn’t very good. It’s actually bad. Quite bad. But here you go, nonetheless.

Coffee at Caitlin?s

by Dave on 06-24-2010 at 10:06 PM
While I was stationed at Yokota Air Base, Japan, I actually took a creative writing course at the base education center. I wrote this story during that class. It?s not speculative fiction ? just a straight fiction tale.

Chase the Sky

by Dave on 06-16-2010 at 03:55 PM
This is another story written while I lived in Tuscon from 1994 ? 1997, also heavliy influenced by the local culture. The move The Crow bourght the mythology mainstream ? birds carry the souls of the departed to the land of the dead, which lies in the west, past the setting sun.

This is Jimmy Dale

In case you're wondering what these posts are, I'm putting my short fiction up at writesville.org....

This story went through a lot of permutations and submissions before it finally arrived in it?s final form. It had numerous near misses before finally being accepted into the Nueromancer Unbound e-anthology some years back.

My take on humans hosting alien visitors?.
