Thread: update for the week of 11/18/2006

Default update for the week of 11/18/2006

Adventure stories aren't nearly as much fun when you live them as when you write about them. I've been absent because an adventure story landed in my lap. I lost my job. Well... I was a contractor, on a yearly contract, and this year without warning, the contract wasn't renewed. So I've been trying to find something else. As yet, nothing. Bad time of the year to be without work. Everyone's in lock down, no new hires till after the first of the year and so on

The shocks kind of worn off now and I'm trying to get back to normal. That said, I'm really hoping I can find some freelance work to fill in the gaps till I can get something else solid. Course i'd love to have that something else solid be my books suddenly selling a million or so copies but my initials aren't JK and my last name doesn't start with an R

Dang - been there and done all that , and more tha once.

What sort of freelance work are you looking for? If you just need to get a little coming in, holiday jobs are pentiful at retailers, but they don't pay much.....

I'd like to get either some freelance writing or art jobs actually. Currently I'm doing a short term, AIX Admin contract but that ends Jan 10.
