Thread: Published Authors

  1. Default Published Authors

This thread is a place for anyone who has works in print to post them.

This is to be just a list, not a discussion thread. Comments posted in it will be deleted.

Each author gets just one post to this thread which they will hopefully keep updated as they get more works in print.

When you post works you have in print, please include a link to them if possible, or specifics like the ISBN number (for books). The whole point of this thread is so the membership of this forum can find each others work and read it.

The Foresight War (an alternate WW2 novel)

    Scales (present-day SF)

Details of both, plus links to the first chapters on-line, are on my website.

I have alsowritten or co-authored several non-fiction books and many articles onmilitary technology; there's a lot of material on that subject on my website, which might be of use to those who want to add some technical detail to military stories.

At the moment, just the one story, "Dragon's Eye" (a Nebula semi-finalist) published in an anthology familiar to most everyone here: Lords of Swords.

Otherwise, I'm at work on a long and involved fantasy. Oh, and a sequel to "Dragon's Eye," during the occasional odd moment.

    Updated: 8/10/07:

I now have a page on my author website that gives a list of my published short stories and poems, and at some point off in the (hopefully) not too distant future, a book or two. It is easier to check out than my ShoutLife page, but you can still go there too.

    Published Works List

OK, here's mine. Most of this is sword-and-sorcery. For links to these, visit my blog, Swords Against Boredom. (Just to save me the time of adding all the links here. I usually mess up links on this board anyway):

    1) The Hungry Bottle (a Spider John story in The Goblin Market, from Eggplant Productions, 1998, and now reprinted online in Sword's Edge, Issue 23, Summer 2006.)

    2) Gram's Gift (a Faceless Sons story, in Amazing Journeys Magazine, Issue # 9, September 2005.)

    3) The Redemption of Calthus (which you can read online in Flashing Swords Issue 4, October 2005)

    4) Zeerembuk (in 'Clash of Steel III: Demon,' from Carnifex Press, Spring 2006.)

    5) Snake Eyes (in 'Freehold: Southern Storm,' from Carnifex Press, Spring 2006.)

    6) The Grey Mother (the second tale of Calthus, which you can read online in Flashing Swords Issue 6, April 2006)

    7) Venom For Their Dreams (originally in Heroic Fantasy Online, now posted online at the Carnifex Press web site)

    8) The Bloated Curse (a Spider John story, in the Flashing Swords Annual e-anthology. Unfortunately, no longer available thanks to the demise of parent firm Pitch-Black Books. If I sell it elsewhere, I'll let you know.)

    9) The Gods-Forsaken World (the third tale of Calthus, in GrendelSong No. 2, Spring 2007)

    10) Shedding Skin (in 'Freehold: Protector,' coming very soon from Carnifex Press)

    11) Tell's Choice (a ghostly historical in GrendelSong No. 3, fall 2007)

    12) Two Kings in Zalzalla (a fantasy coming in All Possible Worlds)

    13) Demons, Within and Without (a Faceless Sons story coming in All Possible Worlds)

    14) The Bloofer Lady (a horror story coming to Down in the Cellar)

    15) Otrossius and the Drake Who Bothered No One (a sword-and-sorcery story coming in the 'Black Dragon, White Dragon' anthology from Ricasso Press)

I have a couple more irons in various fires, but nothing official yet. I'll update here when I know more.

'The Price of Peace' - in Dead Souls - due Spring 2009 from
    Morrigan Books

'Following the Dead' - in the October 2008 issue of Necrotic Tissue

I forgot to add my very first, and I guess I should include it since I know there are some Dragonlance fans here. I didn't get paid for this one, but I did get a free copy of the book and I was really excited about that. I did a happy dance for days....

If you have a copy of More Leaves From the Inn of the Last Home edited, of course, by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman you can find my kender recipe in the cookbook section. It's called 'Perrianna's Morning Refresher' and is written in true kender style. Peri is my alter-ego and she was rather angry that I had forgotten to list this one!
