    Default automated poetry in the style of Emmett Williams

    Poetry in the style of Emmett Williams, minus the meaning. Generator inspired by this dude who has a real poem in that vein up, which better explains the style. (generator here)

    Sample:

    [quote]
    poetry

    per
    pry
    poet
    pot
    try
    pet
    or
    et
    </CODE>

    Ideally one would then take these words and rearrange (and duplicate) them, one per line, to make an actual poem.

    I do find this fascinating. I didn't post yesterday because I would have qualified that with a biting remark. Today, I'm more centered and at peace, and I just wanted to drop a line and thank you for posting this. It's fun. It could be a very useful tool for jumpstarting the poetic or even just the writerly motor.

    My posts here and there definitely got slammed enough with biting remarks :heh: People didn't seem to take in the disclaimer that it's really just a word-in-word generator; but then when I pointed them at 'real' poetry in that vein, they were generally unimpressed as well. I'm impressed that something can be done in that vein, though I haven't seen the original work(s) that Rob Giampietro is riffing on (couldn't find online, just references to).

    Thanks.
