Default Miss Pottifer and the Passion Fruit

This poem is currently posted at Every Day Poets - it's a tale of love and plants. I'd appreciate it if you'd take a minute to read it and - maybe leave a comment...

I loved the pun and misdirection of the title - the way it ties it together with the final stanza.
Very interesting how you braided the cycle of life into the poem as well.
As I've been reading a great deal of Dr. Seuss to toddlers lately, I found the repetition fun but a bit long-winded . . . prefer 'Miss Pottifer's first floor flat' to '...first floor balcony flat'. I think I would use that one up front to create the image of the balcony and then not repeat it again until closer to the end.
For some reason, I have a sudden urge to go watch Hitchcock's 'Rear Window'.
Overall, though, splendid story and poem. Thank you for sharing!
