Demons: A Clash of Steel

I've received word that the tale 'Azieran: Racked Upon the Altar of Eeyuu' has been accepted to be in the new pressing of the anthology 'Demons: A Clash of Steel' by Rogue Blades Entertainment. I was fortunate enough to receive an acceptance in the original anthology by Armand Rosamilia for 'Azieran: Bound by Virtue' when it was published by Carnifex Press, and now to get one from Jason Waltz as well is too cool. It's a Brom the barbarian tale for those of you that have read some of his other exploits.

Hi all! And yes, it seems many cats are out of their bags.

Welcome Chris, Ty, Rob, and Bill to the pages of Demons: A Clash of Steel Anthology. Would have loved to have you, Jordan, but sorry, subs are closed on this one. There won't be another anthology published in 2009 after Demons, but subs to the next title in the premiere RBE R-series will open before the end of summer.

Yes, Chris will have two tales between those Demons' covers...I think he's the only one to pull that off. I might be mistaken, though, my memory being just about wiped out with all of the past few weeks' havoc.

Anyway, there are still a few decisions to be made, but hats off to a great collection of tales thus far coming in the Demons anthology!

Yeah, I guess my last paying sale was with Fantasist Enterprises quite awhile ago (yet to go to print). I kind of took a break in 2008, didn't sub hardly at all and only wrote one short story that was barely finished in December. I'm trying to get back into it, but currently have only 5 subs out, maybe 7 if Flashing Swords have some. I used to try to keep it up between 25-30. A lot fewer markets now, I see, and since I only write dark/high fantasy and sword and sorcery, I'm more limited than most. Not an excuse--a rejection's a rejection, but I'm hopeful for the future as the past several tales I've written I'm pretty pleased with (Racked Upon the Altar of Eeyuu being one of them).
