It's been almost a year since I heard anything. I e-mailed Rob a few weeks ago and didn't get a reply, just as the last few months of comments here have gone ignored. Personally, while I'd still be happy for Rob to use my story should he ever want to, assuming I don't manage to sell it again in the meantime, I'm assuming the antho's dead until I hear otherwise. Heck of a shame though, I think this would have been a good'un.
I went through my edits and signed my contract back in January. At the time, Rob mentioned I was the third of twenty-two stories he'd edited. I haven't heard from him since, though I hope he pops back up soon. The cover art and TOC for this anthology are too cool to let slip away!
I see that the website has been updated. And I see that Magistria II is still in the lists. (Since my story, Crystal Quest, is in there, I always check on it, though I know the rest of you are waiting for Through Blood and Iron. Nice cover, btw.)

Hey all,
Just received an e-mail from Rob... he's still recovering from a couple computer crashes but the anthology seems to be still alive. Yay!

Anyone heard any more on this from Rob? Anyone else had an edit?
Nope, not since I talked to him in the summer (and I haven't had an edit yet either). I haven't tried contacting Rob again though, I was going to wait until next year...

Hey everybody. It's been a few months since I looked in here (as Willie Nelson sings, "Gee ain't it funny how time slips away"). So hi.
I haven't heard anything new, but I got my edits and even had my brief author's intro to the story approved nearly a year ago, so I didn't assume I'd hear from Rob again until the antho actually came out. I'm a little bummed, though, to read here that there are still a few contributors who have not gotten edits. (Dammit, I need a good Christmas present to give to framily and fiends--er, I mean family and friends! I was hoping this would be a Christmas gift last year, then this year... Maybe the perfect Xmas gift for 2012?)

Me? I'm prepared to wait as long as it takes. As long as Rob is going ahead with the anthology I'm happy enough to bide my time.

I can't find any evidence of Rob in the ToC for this book; however, evidence of his continued existence does appear in a November 30, 2011 Letter to the Editor in his local online paper![]()
It's a busy time of year for Santa.
