This was a really good anthology. I was kind of suprised, I don't usually like small press stuff, but I liked most of the stories in it. Christopher Heath's story was my personal favorite.

Cool! Thanks for joining to let us know. There are several SFReader.com members found in the pages of that anthology. I definitely plan on picking it up myself.

Thanks a mil, Seeful. Glad you enjoyed Pawn of the Serpentine Witch. Another Brom the barbarian tale 'Azieran: Racked Upon the Altar of Eeyuu' will be in the upcoming anthology Demons: A Clash of Steel (along with another Azieran tale), by Rogue Blades Entertainment. Check it out if you get the chance.

Shadows & Light was reviewed by Tracy Falbe over at The Fantasy Tavern: http://www.falbepublishing.com/tracy...ows-light.html

She says it: "...definitely reminded me of why I like fantasy so much." and that the "The overall quality of the writing in this anthology is very strong. "

Christopher Heath, Bill Ward, Lydia Sharp, D.M Bonanno, Gustavo Bondoni, and Ray Kolb are all mentioned.

Always cool to be mentioned by name in a review! And Chris seems to be the unanimous choice for the best of the bunch. I really need to read my copy so I can chime in on that particular story!

    Gustavo,

Not sure about the best--several pedigreed writers in the bunch that turned out some great works. Pawn of the Serpentine Witch was the first Brom the barbarian tale that I wrote, so glad to see it finally published. I think that makes 5 of 10 on the Brom's, with some of my favorites still circulating in the slushes. A friend of mine at work read my tale in the Kingdoms of Light and Shadow antho, wanted to read some of the stories but was short on time and asked me to flag the ones that I thought were particularly outstanding. I dog eared six more stories and your story and Bill's were in the group. My friend enjoyed them immensely. So great job, guys!
