Got my copy of Imaro: The Naama War yesterday and immediately abandoned all the other books I am currently reading. Thus far it has been wonderful and I am, as ever, astounded by Charles Saunder's ability to create worlds and characters that are simultaneously utterly fantastic and utterly believable.

    Imaro rocks - a lot!

Got mine, too. I am trying very, very hard not to start reading it until after I finish The Other Lands. Discipline, Griot, discipline!

Discipline is important, but since I was re-reading a couple of old favourites (sort of in anticipation of Imaro arriving) I don't feel too quilty.

On the other hand, as someone once said: 'anticipation is sauce to the meat'.

Got mine, will be reading and reviewing soon. Touching dedication to Steve Tompkins in the front; tragic he didn't live to see this series completed, his scholarship on Imaro (and everything else) was just so terrific.

And I have yet to get my hands on the first book in the series... I'm missing out, aren't I?

I completed Imaro IV on my flight to LA. After this book, I think that Charles should no longer be mentioned in conjunction with REH. Although I know these comparisons are made with good intentions, I think they are no longer needed. His work speaks for itself.
