    Default Simon Clark: Blood Crazy

Simon Clark is a new British writer and having just read his apocalyptic spec fic novel Blood Crazy I've got to say the lad writes a good yarn.

The time is now: A strange infection takes hold of humans over the age of 20.
Adults start killing children. Parents slaughter their off-spring. All over the world.
Soon the adults (who seem to have become akin to Zombies) wander the land in large groups, hunting down any younger people they find.
Nick Aten is a 17 year old living in England. The story is told through his eyes in first person, past tense. And what a blood curdling tale it is.
Some truly scary moments. (I read it on a nightshift)

I wasn't altogether happy with the author's explanation of what caused every human adult on the planet to go around killing children, for me that was the weakest part of the novel.

But apart from that Blood Crazy is a good read and I'm looking forward to reading another of Simon Clark's books.

Blood Crazy is available from Leisure Fiction and is an imprint of Dorchester Publishing. I must say Dorchester Publishing seem to print the kind of horror novels I enjoy the most. I also like the fact that they use a size 12 bold font that is very easy on the eyes.

    Cheers: Jaq.

I read this last year. Very enjoyable although like you, I wasn't overly keen on the explanation.
