Thread: I'm up at Heroic Fantasy Quarterly

Default I'm up at Heroic Fantasy Quarterly

I'm thrilled to have a story up in this quarter's HFQ, which makes their third issue to date.

The Last of His Kind is about an aging drake hunter in search of the fabled Glasswyrm, and what he finds instead.

I have it on the authority of my personal physician that running off to read this issue right now would be the best possible way for you to start the New Year.

    Super big congrats, Bill.

I saw in the editor's bit on front that euan Harvey is very ill. He's (or was) an SFReader poster.

Heavy story, Bill - loved how close you brought us into the protag's life and innards. I'm partial to the endings of some of your other tales - like Wyrd, and Wolf, and Means - but I really enjoyed the meat of this one.

    Nice kick-off to 2010!

Thanks, Jason; and to all for the 'grats. I'm reading my way through the other two stories now and hoping this zine is around for a long time to come.

Congrats, Bill. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my rewrite request turns into a sale there... it's a nice market.
