Thread: Movies 2010

I managed to get my hands on Solomon Kane. Liked it. Though there were a few places that could have benefited from giving it a moment or two to build tension. I would watch it again, but I can't say it was one of those movies that left me thinking "wow, that was great". It moved a bit too fast.

Saw the A-Team last night with the family. Enjoyed it for what it was - a fun popcorn movie.
I definitely had a favorite bad guy in this one. When Hannibal bursts through a window of a sky scraper, and makes off with their goodies, this guy doesn't just stand there and go "Oh, they took our stuff!", he goes out the window after them. Pike was every bit as nuts as Murdoch, which is a good thing in my view.
Bring your suspension of disbelief. It's the A-Team. Over the top is what they do.

Update: Got my hands on Jonah Hex.
Wish I hadn't. It sucked rocks through a straw. At one point I was looking for Will Smith, and wondering if I'd accidentally switched channels to Wild Wild West (I actually liked that movie. A crossover might have made Hex bearable)

I did like the Irish hit man, though. His character made me wish for what could have been for the movie.

I give that one a thumbs down too. I saw it a month ago, and I can hardly remember it. You were looking for Will Smith, I kept looking for Quentin Spillsbury to ride in as the Lone Ranger. Hope Cowboys and Aliens isn't another bomb.

Cowboys and Aliens is on my "to see" list.
I really wanted to see The Warriors Way, but it was out of the local theater before I had the chance. Missed Season of the Witch, too. Guess I'll have to catch up on my anime "to watch" list at the video store while I'm waiting for the other movies to come out on DVD.

Ditto. I'm not much of a movie watcher at all, but that one looked like it could be quite interesting.
