Excellent, but a bit pricey hardcover. I don't know if the paperback is out yet.

Great look at the nature of violence in the Middle Ages. Completely demolishes the myth of a Golden Age. It covers everything from warfare to feuds to the justice system. One of the things I like best about it is that it makes no judgments about what went on. Just the fact, Ma'am. And only the facts.

    It's by Sean McGlynn.

I know that the paperback is out in the UK, cos I snagged a copy of it a few weeks ago. Excellent book indeed.

I have gotten a lot of benefit from it as I start my new lycan series.

Ooo. I really ought to have a medieval reference book in my collection... maybe I'll check this one out.
