    Default Game of Thrones

Anyone catch this? What's the verdict?

Been a while since I read them but I thought they were great books.

I've been hearing good buzz about the premier.

    Anyone?

I got a chance to see the first episode and I quite enjoyed it. Fantasy for adults.

It's been a while since I read the books, but I recalled enough to avoid the confusion that might strike a newcomer. It might be worth orienting yourself of you're going to watch it - go look for a list of characters or some such so you'll know who's who.

All in all, it exceeded my expectations. I'm looking forward to the next episode.

I faintly recall I read book one, years ago. Can't remember much about it. I used to read so many epic sword fantasy books that after a while they all started to blur together.

Watched a few takes on You Tube. Sean Bean's a good actor, but looking his age now.
Looks to be a nice mix of drama and action.

Episode 2 is on tonight, I'll catch it sometime next week. I think Bean is a good choice for the Stark character. Hard to believe filming on LoTR wrapped 10 years ago!

If I had cable I would watch it but since I don't I'll wait for the DVDs. I read all the books and I'm waiting for next installment. It's supposed to be released this year. We'll see.

Watched episode 2 last night. From what I remeber (it's been a while since I read the books) it's sticking pretty close to the original story. I think it's very well done. Watch it if you get the chance.

It is really good, isn't it? My son auditioned for the role of Rob Stark and got down to the last 2...

That's cool! Imagine if he had won it! I guess to many actors it's just another job, but playing dress up, riding horses, and running aroudn swining asword - and get paid for it? Soundslike fun to me.

Saw episode 3, still think it's on track. The character development isn't as robust and the pacing is quicker when compared to the book (appropriately so, given the media), but as far as adaptions go, I think they're doing a great job.
