Default Yet another author stopping by...

Hi! My name is Pete Koziar, and I've been reading science fiction for the darndest time, and I've been writing science fiction stories since I was a small fry.The early ones were awful, of course. Later on, the stories weren'tawful at all, but in those days, there were only two science fictionmagazines around, and both of them were swamped. They weren't allthat interested in stories with a Christian world view either, which is my specialty.

Ihad also been working on a novel for a good long time, and hadpolished the shine off of two chapters, not going any farther. A fewyears ago, I took a course in creative writing, and took theanxiety-inducing step of sharing a part of one of those chapters withthe class. I was pleasantly surprised to find that most of themreally liked it.

I had always wanted to "get around"to finishing the novel, but came to realize that I was getting to theage where I was fast running out of "round tuits" and oughtto write the rest of it.

My son was involved in Civil AirPatrol, which was a two hour meeting each week that was a little toofar from home to be dropping him off, going home, then coming backagain. Instead, I took a laptop with me, and wrote the majority ofthe novel at a local library while I was waiting for him to finish.

Because the genre isn't exactly mainstream, I decided to self-publish it. It's called Dauntless Homecoming. I guess I did an OK job with it, since it won honorable mention in the science fiction category of the Royal Dragonfly Book Contest, and won the science fiction category of the New York Book Festival. OK, shameless plug time: it's available on Amazon in paperback and Kindle, on the Barnes and Noble Nook, and on lulu.com

I've also gotten a short stories published, and a couple of science fiction poems, of all things.

So, anyway, I've always been a lover of science fiction, both from the reader's side and the writer's side. I have just as much fun either way, and I hope my readers have fun, too.

The rest you can read on my profile, if you're interested.

    - Pete

Welcome, Pete. You'll find there are a few SF writers around here who write & read works with a Christian worldview.
