Default The Incredible Hulk, TV Series from the 70s/80s

I started streaming Netflix with the WII when it first became available and enjoyed it so much I got a Roku. Still not as much choice as I'd liek with newer stuff, but video on demand is the future of television entertainment. I can't stand to watch network anymore and I refuse to pay for premium cable.....

Lst night I watched the pilot episode if The Incredible Hulk, the one from 1978 starring Bill Bixby. Great fun, although I laughed out loud several times when comedy was not the intent! The effect sure haven't carried forward well. And the Hulk's makeup is pretty ridiculous.

I do remmber being 13 or so and watching it in wide-eyed fascination. The show was the bomb for my friends and I, right up there with the 6 Million Dollar Man, The Bionic Woman and Buck Rogers.

I loved all of those crazy 70s TV shows, although my number one is the A Team. (And they did a great job with the movie...much better than I expected/was afraid of.

Netflix streams some of the movies in pan and scan which is a real drag. Their stock plummeted today because they've lost 800,000 customers due to their arrogant price hikes and trying to force streaming down everyone's throat.

Yeah, Netflix has taken some knocks in the past couple of months due to some poor decisions and even poorer communication. But as far as streaming selecting and price, they're still the best gig out there. They've got a ton of TV series available as well as documentaries. My family an I hardly ever watch network anymore, and I like that my son isn't bombarded by commercials anymore. We didn't do the DVDs, so I actually saved on the deal since I went to streaming only.

I looked at Amazon prime, but their "free" selection sucks and if I'm paying to join Amazon Prime why am I still paying for video on demand?

    Anyone tried Hulu Plus?

I doubt I'll watch the whole Incredible Hulk series, but it's fun to watch one now and then. I also enjoyed watching the first episode of Hawaii Five-O (original series). All the Star Treks are available now, including Deep Space nine, and it's got Battlestar Galactica (new and old), Babylon 5, Starhunter, Firefly, and ton more. Great fun! Life on Mars was good too.
