Thread: Two Azieran tales plus great cover art on Kindle for .99 cents

Default Two Azieran tales plus great cover art on Kindle for .99 cents

I just released two short stories on Kindle for .99 cents. Both spotlight the character Brom of the Horde; The Hollow Kings was the featured story in Flashing Swords #10, and the other one, Instant Carnage and the Secret of Runic Steel was slated to appear in Through Blood and Iron by Ricasso Press, but that's been shelved indefinitely, from what I understand. At any rate, to date, these are the first two in a chronology of over a dozen tales involving the barbarian Brom. Check out the great cover art on the Heathen Oracle website...

Glad to hear your putting more stories out. Are you just assuming the Ricasso press book has been shelved indefinitely or have you gotten word from Rob Santa about it?

John, I talked to Rob. I'm not sure if "shelved indefinitely" are the words he used. It was a bit ambiguous, and quite awhile back so my memory of the conversation is foggy, but he gave me the impression it probably wasn't going to happen, or at least not any time soon...he could do a turnaround, however, but from what I took away from the conversation was that it was looking pretty grim.

Things have turned around, Chris. I emailed Rob and he got right back to me last night and said the book is going forward and after some real world problems Ricasso Press is humming along again. Contracts will be going out soon and he's in the process of formatting the book. I'm not sure he's aware you've self-published. He' said he hasn't been monitoring this forum at all.

Thanks John, wow, I jumped the gun on that by just a couple of days. Looks like I may be losing out on being in what should be an awesome anthology. I'll talk to Rob and see if we can work something out, if not, bad move on my part.

I have to hope for two things in this situation. One that you can work it out so your story stays in the collection, and two that Rob really can get this baby moving. Fingers crossed on both accounts.

Thanks John! I guess I accidentally missed seeing your follow up post. I spoke with Rob awhile back and we might be working something out, hopefully. It looked to be a great antho, and I really want to get a Brom of the Horde tale in there.

I've liked everything of yours I've gotten my hands on, so I'm happy more will be running around out there.

Thanks Mike! That means a lot to me. Sorry for the late reply, must've overlooked this post.
