    Default Comic books

Just tossing out...would there be a demand for a forum for comic books/graphic novels here? I know I'd like one, but would anyone else?

I used to love my monthly Marvel comics fix...but this was back in the 70's when Marvel was putting out a hundred titles a month.
When the writers and artists produced real treasures.

The last great decade for comics I think. Gone are most of their titles and characters. I often wonder what happened...it wasn't the internet, Marvel began to decline long before the Net got big. DC the same.

I wouldn't mind a section for comics and graphic novels...be interesting to see what's on offer these days.

I've recently begun to order in the original Conan the Barbarian, Marvel comics re-prints.

Barry Windsor Smith's artwork is a joy to behold. Pity he didn't stay with the title for longer. I was never that keen on John Buscema.

After a hiatus, Suspended Animation, the comic review column, has started again. I've been posting them as they come in.

Right now, I think a comics forum would be pretty dead, but I'm open to community consensus.....

I never realised that Suspended Animation meant comics.

I'm on a few comics forums and they just call them...well...comics.

Suspended Animation is the name of the column. The longest running comics review column in the US, perhaps the world!

Went on hiatus in 2007 and was released very erratically. Originally done by Michael Vance, with guest columns by Mark Allen and others. Now seems to be done my Mark Allen.

Check the Suspended Animation link in the upper left of http://forums.sfreader.com/

There's still a bunch of them at the old site: http://www.sfreader.com/suspended-animation.asp. I hope to get them ported over.

That's why I asked. If only two/three people want it, it's not worth doing, but I figured that it was possible a bunch would.

    Hey Jennifer,

"A bunch" doesn't quite even describe the number of people on the entire forum.... but one day!
